Shaw installed last week. TV wouldn't work last night. Said NO SIGNAL this morning. I worked with the Input button, and now it says NO CHANNELS IN MASTER LIST. Can someone help, please?
I think you've done it!
I moved the 1(ARC) plug to HDMI , then pushed the Input button and tried each offering. It worked on HDMI 2 (not AV).
Thanks for perservering, kevinds!
First steps done, got No Signal corrected
Next, unplug the power to your cable terminal for 30 seconds, then plug back in, wait 2-3 minutes for it to boot back up, and try again.
No, that didn't work.
By "cable terminal", you mean the black box, right?
Wait, No Channels in Master List could be the TV telling you it doesn't know which channels it can get...
What type of cables run between the black box and your TV?
Cables between black box and TV are:
One that runs from POWER and goes through an adapter and then to yellow, red, and white connectors at the back of the TV.
One that runs from POWER to 1(ARC) on the side of the TV.
Everything was working until last night. I did not touch any connections, but may have pushed a wrong button on the remote.
Where the Yellow, Red, and White cables connect to the TV, are they labeled as anything? Composite1, Input2, ect?
Look for a Source or Input button on the front/side of your TV, or on the TV remote (not Shaw's) and make sure your TV is on the correct input.
Nothing on the plugs themselves, but on the bar below:
Yellow is Y/V
Red is R
White is L
When I push INPUT, the screen offers TV, AV, Component, HDMI 1, HDMI 2.
BUT it's stuck on AV, then goes back to NO SIGNAL.
From that list, AV sounds like the best choice...
The black box you have, does it have a model number on the bottom?
DCX3200/A281/033 Model # - Motorola
If you have a DCX3200, and your TV has HDMI and Component inputs, you should be using one of those going between your TV and DCX3200.
No problem, glad it is working again.
Okay - wait -
I'm an idiot. The coloured lines go from the DVD player...
