I have a motorola pvrDCT 3416 I.Slowly over the weeks I have noticedsome of my channels are pixelated, but most still come in fine. I have tried disconnecting the powercord to the pvr but does not fix any suggestions.
Pixelation can be irritating, You're watching a good show and then, just at an important scene... it breaks up and you miss the good part. So let's help you clear it up on your PVR!
Pulling the powercord to reboot the PVR is the right place to start. Next, we have to look at the possibility that the coaxial cable from the outlet to the PVR might have adjusted itself and isn't sitting as it should. Could you unscrew the coaxial cable from the back of the PVR and screw it back on? If channels are still pixelating, do the same where the coaxial cable goes into the wall outlet.
If you're like many homes, you might have a splitter between the outlet and the PVR. If it's still pixelating after this, unscrew and reconnect on both ends of the splitter too. Sometimes splitters start to have a few issues so bypass the splitter if possible and put the PVR direct to the outlet and see if it's still having the issue.
We have a great walkthrough of these steps at How to troubleshoot poor picture quality / pixelation as well.
If still pixelating even after all this, let us know!
