A number of emails from organizations I trust - are received with the above tag in the subject line. Is there a way I can convince the Shaw "junk" filter that these are not junk mail? Thank you
You can try to add a filter from within Shaw Webmail so that any emails from that specific distribution, you can have the rule to go to your inbox. To set up a filter, head into Shaw Webmail > Preferences > Mail > Filters > Incoming Message Filters. From there, you can enter the email address of that distribution and have it performing certain actions (Keep in Inbox). Hopefully that helps!
Sorry for the troubles with the emails! I believe if you go into your Junk folder and right click on the emails you should see a "Mark as Not Spam" option which should allow the email and future instances of the email to be in your Inbox.
If that doesn't work, let me know if you have any special rules or filters setup for you email.
Hi Harvey - I've tried what you suggest but subsequent email still come in with the tag line "shaw suspected junk mail". I was hopeful taking the steps you mention that the tag line would no longer be attached to those future emails.
I had created a rule (in Outlook) to send those tagged as junk by shaw into a junk folder but due to the above problem legitimate email also end up in the junk folder.
I noticed that email is tagged by Shaw before it gets to my Outlook email program. I went into shaw mail online and found I could tag items as "spam" but could not find a way to "untag" email already listed as spam.
I appreciate any further guidance you are able to provide.
Excellent - Thank You.
I was not aware we could add filters from within Shaw Mail. I suspect this flexibility will help me manage my spam issues.
None of these filters actually work to avoid the spam filter. The best they do is to keep the mail that has already been labeled as spam in the inbox with the subject [Shaw Suspected Junk Mail]. How do you get it to stop labeling it wrongly?
Please provide a real solution. Forwarding emails to firstname.lastname@example.org does not work for me either.
Just sent you a direct message to grab your account information, I think we may have a solution for you in this case. Shoot us a DM back when you have time!
