I have the latest gateway. It shows in the audio output setting that Dolby is selected. Even though it shows that, it IS NOT outputting Dolby to my tv through an HDMI cable. The reason I know this is because when I am watching cable, the sound setting on my tv is Dolby greyed out and the only option is PCM. When I watch Netflix over a wifi connection, the Dolby setting on my tv is available and on. Shaw IS NOT able to tell me why this is happening. This is unacceptable to me. They won't send a tech out when asked, to see if there is a setting they can get to that the customer doesn't have access to. The tech support at Shaw has definitely gone down. UNACCEPTABLE for the amount I pay for cable.
