VOIP registration issues

Just got hooked up Friday with Shaw, but having VOIP registration problems. I have a DPC3825 I have confiqured with static IP and port forwarding setting for my provider. I do a open port scan and no ports are open. VOIP phone is not an issue as was working earlier today with Telus router. Can anyone give me assistance?
