Anyone have problems connecting a Shaw Gateway (XG1V3) to a UPS? When switching to battery power, the clock display turns off and you can hear the hard drive spinning down. However, the same UPS runs my Motorola DCX3510-M without a hitch.
The UPS outputs a stepped sine wave when on battery; I'm thinking maybe that could be the problem. The older DCX3510-M may not be as sensitive/picky about it's power quality. Do I need a pure sine wave UPS for the XG1V3 Gateway? Are there any specs on what kind of UPS the Gateway requires?
