Having trouble with my gateway system. Error message comes up every day saying" can't communicate with the gateway system". this happens on live TV and a lot on my recordings. Getting to be very annoying . Any reason for this?
Is this on the XG1 unit? Or a Portal?

I would have to agree with kevinds, this sounds like it might be an issue with the signal. Are you able to check the coaxial cable between the main Gateway unit and the wall outlet, and between the unit attached to your TV and the wall outlet? Please try unscrewing these coaxial cables and screwing them back in to ensure they have a good connection.
If that doesn't do the trick, please reply back with the model number of the unit(s) you're using and we can definitely take a closer look.
Thanks for the info. I found a short extension which looked like it had a poor connection to one of my portal units. I did try unscrewing all coaxial cables and saw this short extension so I took it out and hooked it up direct. Hopefully it will solve the problem. Will let you know.
