How to setup Hitron router & Netgear Router for NAS?

Just got INTERNET 150 up and running with my HITRON Router.  I have a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router, with an external USB (NAS) hard drive connected to it.

I WANTED to have the HITRON bridged, and use the Netgear for the WIFI, but when I did this with the SHAW tech's help, my hard wired speed sank to 80 MBPS. It had been 175 MBPS, running straight to the HITRON, unbridged, leaving out the Netgear altogether.

Since I wasn't happy with the lose in speed, I went back to running things straight through the HITRON, using it's WIFI.

But now I am unable to figure out how to share my hard drive out, since the USB ports on the back of the Cisco are unusable.

Should I attempt to make my Netgear into a repeater?  If so how? And if this is possible, then will I get access through my network, to my USB (NAS) hard drive? And why would I get such a drop in speed by hooking it up the first way?
