Last Tuesday my neighbor had their Telus connection upgraded. My landlady at the last minute asked if the telus installer could have access to my suite to run a line through the phone connection near the electrical panel in my suite while I was at work. For no reason that I can figure the telus installer cut my coaxial cable line at both ends. The cable wasn't moved or even taken out and the new fibre line entered from a completely different direction that my coaxial connection does. What can I do in the short term to get my cable repaired on both ends? I don't really want to splice out the cut ends and it's run through my walls. If I spice my cable connection will it degrade the signal? Can Shaw offer any repair services to fish a new line through to where my modem is? Telus is basically useless and won't help me.
