I have a lightly used Linksys WRT54G router (version 4) running on DD-WRT third party firmware. Can I connect this to my Cisco DPC3825 Modem/Router (provided by Shaw) to expand and boost my wifi coverage? My house is 2 storied and the cisco router is installed on the upper level. I experience weak wifi signal at some locations on our main level. I would like to setup the Linksys WRT54G on the main level and connect it wirelessly to my Cisco router with a hope that it will benefit the main level internet users. Please guide me on how I can do that? Or will there be any benefit by doing this? Thanks in advance for your guidelines.
