I'm seeing a "Check tel line".
There's no dial tone.
I'm in Killarney Vancouver.
I unplugged the phone box.
It said to remove the battery, but I was only able to pull it a bit.
If you take a look at the phone terminal, how many lights do you see on it? Four solid is good, less than that means it's not getting a signal.
And if it is four solid lights, is the TEL1/2 light flashing, solid or off?
Telephone 1 On (solid and not blinking)
Telephone 2 Nothing
So far so good, we know that the phone terminal is online. Is it possible to test by connecting a phone directly to your phone terminal?
I'm being transferred to someone that's phone-trained, but the first person said that I was that the phone went offilne.
I guess yanking the battery a bit is enough.
A tech will be sent out.I can connect my phone directly to the back of the terminal at Tel 1/2, and I should get a dial tone.
If you can get a dial tone while direct to the phone terminal, it shows that there is a wiring issue somewhere between the terminal and the phone jacks. Going direct to the phone terminal will at least get you phone service until then. But if they've booked a service call for you, the technician should be able to get everything working for you again!
Can you cancel the technician coming?
I plugged a bedroom phone into the terminal, and I could call it.
We then fiddled with the jack of the "Check tel line" problem line, and it works.
Glad to hear that you were able to get it working. I will have to send you a private message to collect your info in order to cancel the visit.
