It is embarrassing that shaw has no range for oiler games. I will be switching back to Telus for sure
The Oilers are currently blacked out here in BC. This is not our decision but determined by broadcasting restrictions. You can find more information on this here NHL Blackouts
My mistake on not being clearer I'm 2 hours out of Edmonton. My comment on BC is showing how much a difference between the two providers. Being in north Alberta and that being too far away is unacceptable (like I said only 2 hours)
If you're in Edmonton, you shouldn't be blacked out. What do you see when you turn to SportsNet West?
I'm two hours north of edmonton
Doesn't matter... As long as you are north, and not west...
You shouldn't be blacked out if you are located in Alberta...
So why am I? Is there a number I should call?
What do you see on screen when you turn to SportsNet West? A black screen or a message?
Message saying I've flown too far
Ahh this isn't on your TV, this is using FreeRange TV on a device? If you are using the cellular connection, it may be that the IP assigned to you is not registered in Alberta. You can look up your IP at a site like What's My IP Address? Networking Tools & More. If you are at home and can connect to your Shaw wireless connection, then restart the FreeRange TV app, you should be able to access the channel.
