My motorolla DVR cable box displays no IP. I have reset it and that did not fix it.

This error can come from a challenge with the cable box having no or poor signal from the coaxial cable line. We would recommend disconnecting and reconnecting the coaxial cable connection on the back of the box, the cable outlet, and if connecting through any cable splitters. Once this is completed, we would recommend trying to reset the power to the cable box once more.

I just had a Shaw tv service tech come out to fix this very issue, NO IP.
He said the Shaw office or tech room that controls the HD box is at fault. The equipment is knocking out the HD box and they simply have to reconnect the HD box to the system. The box is now working.
