Sudden problems with port forwarding

For the past few days, I, along with many other Shaw customers, have had problems with forwarding ports. Was there a recent security firmware update sent out by Shaw or something? I'm using a CGNM-2250
I use canyouseeme.org to check if my ports are open, but it can't connect to any of them. Disabled all antivirus and firewalls, tried 3 different browsers, but none of it works. I haven't changed anything with my network settings lately.
I even tried out a few Linux torrents with uTorrent, followed the setup guide, opened the ports but uTorrent isn't able to connect to the port. It says it can still download with the port closed, but I just get "connection closed by peer" messages for both bttracker.debian.org and torrent.ubuntu.org.

Someone else managed to fix this by having support do an IP pass through for their modem, but I feel like that could just be a work-around for a port-forwarding problem with the modem
