I helped someone today with the above situation. The networked printer would not work since a Shaw Tech changed the router. The printer was online but the PC could not see it. Turns out the PC kept the old IP address for the printer. Solution was to delete the old "greyed out" printer in "Control Panel: Devices and Printers" and then add the Printer to pick up the new IP address.
Windows 10 with Shaw Hitron Router and HPDeskjet 6000 series printer.
