So it seems there's a rather odd device on my Wo-Fi. I basically did a network scan using the Fing app, and it found all the devices on my network. When I checked each decide, everything looked normal. Until I scrolled down to the botom of the list where I found this strange device from a vendor known as "Naray Information & Communication Enterprise". This was the only information besides the MAC address that the fing app was able to find. Is this supposed to be part of the Cisco advanced modem? I basically need to know wether this device is supposed to be on my network or if o should block I.
Hey there rydawg,
Thanks for reaching out! After doing some Googling around, that device is likely a part of the router itself. What I'd recommend, if you suspect that someone is connecting to your wireless network that you have not authorized, is changing the SSID/passphrase of your wireless network.
Please see How to change the wireless network name (SSID) / Changing Your WiFi Password: Hitron CGNM-2250 for more information on how to change the SSID/password of your wireless network.
Cheers,
Brayden
