Not sure why this happens or what I can do to keep this from happening - occasionally, while watching a recorded program, it'll just stop part way through (at no consistent point), and the keep/delete dialog box pops up on screen. It hasn't happened all that often, but it's been occurring a little bit more often lately.
I have noticed (and it's happened right in front of me as I was watching live TV) that the signal will just freeze or the screen will go completely black. Turning the cable box off, and on again does immediately fix the problem, but I think this particular issue might be to blame for these recordings stopping part-way through.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future?
