Arris SBG6782 and static IP

So I just upgraded my internet modem from Motorola SB5102 to Arris SBG6782, and am now unable to assign a static IP to one of my computers. When I do assign static IP, I cannot connect to the internet until troubleshooter changes back to dynamic IP.

Since I still use Emule, (I know, I'm a Luddite, using old tech) I need the static IP on this machine. My desktop system is still using a static IP, and can connect to the internet with no problems through the Arris and Netgear router (using it now). I have connected the emule machine directly to the modem, and can connect, but only with dynamic IP.  Emule requires a static IP to function properly. How do (or can) I set up passthrough on this modem so I can hook the emule machine back up to my Netgear router and just have the modem work as a modem with no router capability?

Thanks, Eric
