Shaw gateway freezes up

Much like a number of other people on this forum, our Gateway stops working about once a week since May.  Even when not using the gateway, the obvious indicator of this problem is when you see the clock has stopped - too bad if you had expected something to be recorded between when the gateway unit froze up and when the problem is spotted.


The issue is addressed (in the short term only) each time by unplugging the power, waiting a bit and then reconnecting the power.


Based on comments I saw on-line, I initially thought it was heat related, but since turning off surrounding electronics, and increasing air flow around the unit the problem still occurs - as recently as 8:15am this morning (on a relatively cooler morning).
