YouTube is now on BlueSky TV. You can find more details at Using YouTube on BlueSky TV.
Hopefully a Prime TV app is in the works.
Blue Sky is great, good picture, good sound, reasonably fast. Voice search works well. The platform needs more apps though. Much more apps:
to name a few.
Also, 4K HDR. My new Samsung TV running on Shaw Internet actually performs very well and has a number of interesting apps including Netflix 4K HDR, Prime Video 4KHDR You Tube 4K HDR, Crave TV, TED CTV Go. The only reason I flip back to BlueSky these days is for live TV and some Demand titles. I think BlueSky would be really great with a larger app library and 4K HDR.
Pleassse do something with Stingray. On BlueSky, Stingray just limps along, choppy with no album art. Other Shaw platforms like Gateway, Stingray seems to work well. This has been going on for over a year. “No Stars” for Stingray on BlueSky!
Glad to hear you are enjoying the BlueSky TV experience! I certainly appreciate your feedback for more apps/features and will pass it along.
Would be amazing if you can add Amazon Prime Video app and album art to Stingray
Thank you in advance!
i agree please look into adding Amazon Prime to the Bluesky service!
Amazon Prime should be added!
I write this today after installing yet another streaming platform on my Samsung TV to access content - Apple TV and Airplay. These days we have so many options for viewing content and there doesn’t seem to be a one size fits all. It’s a mess!
I have a number of different platforms on the go and my wife kindly points out we have too many ways to access content on our tvs and every tv is different. As stated, we even now have Apple TV on one of our TVs and it is pretty good!
Rather than getting into all the different options, software and hardware alike, I would like to focus on recommendations for Shaw to pull it all together and create a completely integrated entertainment platform that is consistent from room to room. I would gladly drop all my other streaming hardware like my old Apple TVs just to have one unified entertainment hub. Frankly BlueSky and streaming platforms both have strong points and with Shaw internet they work very well. Indeed the only thing that BlueSky bests, say, Apple TV is live TV and DVR.
Adopt a hardware platform that will see little black boxes on every tv using that cool voice activated remote to access content. Wireless of course.
Add more apps to the terminals, a lot more apps, in 4K HDR and Dolby Digital everything. Apps like: Netflix, Prime TV, YouTube, CBC Gem, Stingray and there are probably more I haven’t thought of. Let these apps supplement the other BlueSky goodies like, DVR and movie rentals.
In short make a solution that will compete with streamers head on or lose out to those streaming services.
