There is no sound coming from my portal to my tv

It's an HDMI only connection, no receiver involved, was working just fine today, until I switched to watching something on my DVR, and suddenly no sound was output from the tv. I've gone through the audio settings, tried all, no luck, tried turning the button sounds on, nothing there either. No sound from regular programming either. I've reset the gateway and the portal 3 times, no joy.

 

The tv is not on mute, MTS/SAP is greyed out on the tv settings. I've switched the HDMI input on the tv, that did nothing.

 

I think I need professional help.
