No response from Gateway XG1-A with any Remote control

Used General chat with Shaw to setup a used Gateway, which is virtually brand new, previous owner had no problems with it.... It's been checked by forum moderator and Chat from shaw and box is clear

We can get it activated,, updated,, but there is no response with the Remote control

I have 3 remotes the same brand it has no response to... any ideas?
