I signed up for CraveTV so I could watch it on my TV (duh). So why can't I do this?
I would be happy to assist with this question. There are a few reasons it may not be working for you. First you have to sign up for Crave TV through Shaw instead of signing up with Crave TV directly.
Next the content only works on our new BlueSky equipment, you can see more information on that at the following link. BlueSky TV – The Future of Television | Advanced TV Watching At this time that is the only Shaw hardware that is able to show the Crave TV content.
If you have signed up through Shaw and have BlueSky equipment installed you should be good to go. It can take up to 24 hours for the content to show up after you first sign up for Crave TV. If it is not working after that time let us know and we can look into this further and figure out what is happening.
Ok thanks for the information. I am a full Shaw customer (TV, Internet, phone) and I did sign up for Crave TV through Shaw, so that part if fine. I read through the information about BlueSky and I have to decide if I can afford the added cost to my plan.
Are there any other options if I don't install BlueSky?
We would like to try CraveTV but there seems no easy way to view it on our Panasonic (smart) TV. Why is there no app for the most common makes of TV? Why does Shaw not make it available as a channel on the DVR? Yes, it is on BlueSky but that is a major expense.
Somehow we have to transmit it from a computer. Chromecast seems to be an option but is an additional expense. The Edge browser has casting capabilities, but from the write-up, protected material (e.g., Netflix) does not work. Is this also true for CraveTV?
BlueSky TV is the only platform to which we are able to add Crave TV (and now Netflix too). Adding it as a channel wouldn't really be a great option. It needs to be as an app that can connect to the Crave TV servers.
But you might be able to switch to BlueSky TV from your current hardware without seeing your costs go up. Contact any of our sales agents for your options!
