I just upgraded to Shaw internet 150, and was told by the rep I need to exchange my modem. From what I read, it will be the Hitron CGNM-2250.
I want to use my own wireless router, and on my current modem CIsco dpc3825 I have it in bridge mode.
I read that I can use the hitron in pass through mode. Also from my understanding I would need a second IP for router.
Does Shaw automatically assign the second IP or do I need to call to get one?
Is it worth it to use the hitron in pass through, or would it be better bridged? Can it even be bridged?
Thanks for any help.
