Considering switching from Telus but I only have cat5 wiring in my house, no coax. If I switch to Shaw Bluesky would i have to run coax or can it use the cat5 already wired?
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our BlueSky TV service! All our digital boxes, BlueSky included do require a coax connection. This would be for each box as well, not just the main one. Do you have a main line to the residence at least or nothing at all?
Not a coax in the house anywhere, all network cabling.
In that case what would need to be done is a drop would need to be installed bringing cable to the location, as well as a cable outlet would need to be installed. This would be through an outside wall. Any other locations in the house that you would want a TV set up, you would need to contact a private contractor to feed coax cables and install outlets to those locations.
