Cannot ping beyond LAN, suspect a DNS issue

I think DNS may be causing issues on my network. I had a server on my LAN providing DNS and DHCP, but I have taken it offline. Now I wish for the Shaw modem/router to provide both. I am able to browse the internet from one of my machines, but not another. All computers can ping one another, but I cannot ping any IP or URL outside of my LAN.

Must be some setting I am missing or have failed to configure I would think. I do believe that DHCP is working, all devices on my network are picking up new IPs. Wireless devices are also able to browse freely.

Would you let me know if this is normal behavior that I cannot ping outside of my LAN?

Thanks, Mark
