guide data (TVGOS) on analog channels, after DNU ?

my neighbourhood recently got Shaw's digital network upgrade, meaning the analog channels above ch28 went away and now reguire a digital terminal. so I got new terminals and HDPVR for the TVs in our house, and switched to a programming package Personal TV + Best of HD

I've still got my old analog Panasonic PVR which uses TV guide schedule data, aka TVGOS, to show program listings. The PVR itself still works connected directly to the cable on the supported lower channels, it can tune those analog channels. But I just noticed that it's no longer getting any schedule listings loaded over the cable.

does the DNU block this old-style guide data?
