Cable is hooked to the arris portal and to the wall. hdmi cable is going to the tv...and they are all plugged in.
Am I missing something?
1 is going to the modem, 2 is going to the pvr and nothing happens when I disconnect the other one

If the location has had a Portal working in the past, it should connect back to our Gateway. Do you see a little metal cylinder that looks similar to this guy?
The Portal may also need to be reset for communication to be reestablished. At the back of the Portal, there should be a small pinhole reset button. Hold it down for at least 6 seconds before releasing. Let us know how it goes!
Yes, that cylinder is hooked up to the cable coming into the living room. the pvr is working great there.
I did try resetting the portal in the bedroom but not the living room pvr...should I reset that too? I unplugged everything and waited before plugging the portal back in also...
Hey marn1. Main Gateway should not need to be reset. For the portal in the bedroom, does it also have one of those little cylinder's on the line between the portal and the cable outlet? I've also sent a DM to your Community Inbox so we can take a look at the Gateway and try a refresh from our end as well.
This is the hookup in living room...Cable in and internet.
If you follow the cables I've labelled 1 and 2, what is on the ends of each? And what happens to your portal signal if you unscrew the black one labelled 3?
