is there a setting in webmail 2 to default all calendar entries to private instead of to public?
Hi, can we have more details as to what you looking to do? Entries in the Webmail calendar can only be viewed when you are logged into Webmail which makes them all private.
Maybe I'm asking prematurely then.
In Gmail Calendar you can create private and public calendar entries.
Also entries that migrate to exchange mail on smartphones and business exchange clients, for example Outlook for Exchange, become available to the exchange server and it's users when calendar sharing occurs.
If you share your calendar, you don't want to allow private entries seen by the public, by mistake or design.
I assume at this point Shaw Webmail2 does not have the same functionality as Gmail Calendar.
If so, then why not remove the option to create a Public Event or allow for a preference setting to change all events to private; then when the product evolves, or is more "shareable" then no issues will accidentally happen.
I see what you mean. You're right that the calendar in Webmail doesn't have that function. Calendar sharing looks like a useful function when set up on exchange server.
