I missed an episode of a series and want to watch it. I went on VOD and did a search, but all I can find are future episodes.
Different networks have different agreements and limits on how long an episode is available for. It's possible that the episode you're looking for is no longer on VOD. If you want to let us know the show and episode we can check for you to see if we have any information on it. Thanks!
I'm looking for last week's episode of RISE and my husband was looking for "BLUE BLOODS' from March
Thanks! I'm seeing a large number of episodes available for Blue Bloods here - not sure which episode number you need but it looks like 15, 16 and 17 aired in March.
You can also find the episodes for Rise here - it looks like episode 1 is already removed, but 2 through 5 are still up.
Depending on your cable box, you may be able to order through the website (this won't work if you have BlueSky TV) or you can add it to your wish list and then confirm through your cable box. Let us know if you have any other questions!
sorry, I guess I don't understand...Can I not view these by using my remote control? Do I have to go through my computer?
No worries! I'll do my best to clarify. You can watch them on your tv as well, but the way that you order them is going to depend on which model of cable box you have. Some of the older boxes will only show a selection of the available episodes on VOD, so if that's the case, the easiest way is to log into the website and order them there, and then you can watch on your TV by going into VOD on your remote and then going to the "My Orders" section to play them.
How to order a title through Shaw on Demand has some more info on the different ways to order VOD.
Wow, I don't want to get upset, but when I was told that I should get new PVR's and gateway, I was led to believe that it would be bigger and better than our old boxes. We used to go into Shaw on Demand and look for old episodes...it was so easy, now it is just so cumbersome.
We just switched over on Friday...so am I to believe that we did not get new PVRs as you mentioned that some of the older boxes will only show a selection of the available episodes on VOD? Our NEW boxes only show the current episodes.
Should I call Shaw to complain that I did not get new boxes???
If you just switched over to the Gateway, then they should be available through VOD. The older boxes I was referring to are no longer sold by us, so that shouldn't be an issue. How to search content on a Shaw Gateway has some more information on how to search by keyword or title as the episodes on the VOD website should be available through the cable box as well.
OK, I went on VOD and looked for Rise - all I can see is Season 1 - Episode 6...nothing for the first 6 episodes. Checked Blue Bloods...all that is there is Season 8 - did a search by title and search by keyword.
I can't see that these are new boxes if I can't find older episodes.
Oops, ignore my previous comment. I didn't realize that I should key onto the top title...sorry for the confusion. So I guess when we go to VOD, we can only see this season...right?
If I wanted to watch all episodes of something older such as Dexter, I would have to look it up another way. Right?
I don't think we have Dexter on VOD at the moment, but there are some tv shows where the entire collection should be available. It just depends on the channel and agreements. For example, if you subscribe to HBO, then you would be able to watch all seven seasons of Game of Thrones through VOD. But other networks, like Global for example, often limit the time that episodes are available, so there might be shows where you can only go back a week or two.
