what is it hunting for?
The "HUNT" message typically means that the box is searching for a signal. This can be resolved by power cycling the box. To do that, you can unplug the power and coax cable on the back of the box for 30 seconds or so. The coax cable is the black or white, TV cable.
If that doesn't help, can you check if the coax cable leads to a splitter at the wall. If so, I would recommend replacing it.
