Just wondering what's in store for us and when the changes will be taking place.
Assuming you're served by what was Mountain Cable, the deal has yet to be ratified by regulatory, so for now it's business as usual, with no solid dates until the ratification.
What happens with equipment just out of curiousity, are you guys still selling gateways and pvr's in Hamilton ?
We're not selling Gateways and DCX3510s in Hamilton anymore. Rogers does use much of the same equipment as we do. But the Gateways and DCX3510 are specific to Shaw. In anticipation of the transfer to Rogers going through, we don't think it would be fair to customers to set them up with equipment that won't work in the future.
well what will happen to customers equipment that they currently have and how would shaw deal with customers on "easy own" thanks!
If your not selling gateways or DC3510's in Hamilton, does that mean new customers in that area won't be able to have access to a pvr??
No, I suspect that the DCX3400 and other older models of PVRs will continue to be for sale there
So....does that mean that my existing equipment will no longer work and I'm going to have to shell out more money?
What existing equipment?Lance said that the DCX3510 and the Gateway/Portals are specific to Shaw, Rogers doesn't use them, so if the sale goes through, it is better (for the customer) to sell hardware that would still be compatible with Rogers,
