I'm a student from abroad homestaying with my host family in here Vancouver.
I brought my macbook air which has no wired LAN connection port on its device.
My host family connect their PC through "CAT5E" LAN cable line, so I got D-link router to
change to wi-fi network, but everytime I or my host brother wants to connect his 3DS to wi-fi trough D-link, the connection has failed,
something wrong with the connection setting, and I have to call to D link's customer service and they told to reset the connection setting and password every time I use...this is really nightmare. So, I'm thinking to get Apple's Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet AdapterThunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.), and connect to macbook air,
but I'm not sure if it work with CAT5E modem line... or is there more option connecting macbook air to internet??
