my Tv says it not authorized. I have the guide but no picture.
I had this problem on one channel only. After reading around I found this "The box Sounds like it needs to be reactivated". This is what you do when you first set your box up when it is new. You need box serial # and your shaw account #. Use search support at top of this page and enter "BOX ACTIVATION" this should get you to where you can find the link for activation page. This fixed channel up so it is now working on my TV.
As wasjam mentioned, this message can appear when the digital box hasn't been registered, or if has been disconnected for a length of time and needs to be refreshed with your account's subscribed programming. If you're still noticing the "Not Authorized" message, please let me know and we can look into the problem.
