I'm getting tons of packet loss for the last couple days, at times it averages over 30%
What's going on?
What's going on? Not enough information to figure it out yet...
What are you using to measure packet-loss?
What equipment do you have for internet? Which Shaw modem? Gateway or Bridge mode? Seperate router? Wired or Wireless? Multiple devices showing the same?
Well the loss seems mostly gone today, about .1% over the last 10 min, so it's not really much of an issue at the moment, but it's a Motorola SB6120 modem, bridge, no router, wired, multiple devices were all showing a lot of loss to everywhere I tried. I checked with ping, and mtr. And even that isn't necessary to see the packet loss, as it was so high that images would stall half loaded when web browsing, and ssh sessions were super laggy and completely unusable for xforwarding.
It's been a few days since your posting, how has your connection been lately? Let me know if you are still noticing an issue.
Seems to be back to normal now.
