My landlord has called Shaw in response to the digital box upgrade going on in my neighbourhood. Apparently, they are refusing to issue a digital box, and therefore we will lose channels above what I assume will stay analog (20-something+), because of what they call an 'old plan'.
I'm really getting kind of sick of changes like this that are reducing service and/or costing more more. I don't know how this is even LEGAL, since the agreement is for a certain level of service, and quite honestly, we'll be paying $40+ for nothing now.
Has anyone heard of this? Can they do this?
