I have not received any of my missing email information. When will the sender and subject information be coming to me?
As Sean posted at Re: Shaw E-mail Interruption Update, we were able to retrieve the server logs with information on the sender, time and subject. Notifications are being sent now.
I got a notification of deleted emails, but I can't figure out where I go to get the log of sender, time, and subject information. Can you advise on this.
That info should have been at the end of the email notification itself. The notification should have looked something like this:
On March 7, an interruption in Shaw e-mail service inadvertently caused the delay and deletion of incoming e-mail to a number of shaw.ca addresses. We understand that our customers rely on our services to receive their e-mails and sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. As a means of trying to rectify the situation we were able to capture basic log information from the e-mails coming into our servers and will provide you with a list of e-mails lost during the interruption period. Information from these logs is provided below. You can expect as many as 6 messages from us giving you the details of your e-mails. Unfortunately we are only able to recover the following details of the deleted e-mails: e-mail sender, subject and time of receipt; e-mail contents cannot be recovered. We are working as fast as we can to get you this information. Please note that the details retrieved may also include references related to spam e-mail sent to your inbox. For information or support, please visit Shaw Community at https://community.shaw.ca/thread/4242 or community.shaw.ca, as this e-mail address does not accept replies. Shaw Cablesystems

This is a serious problem for us and a real wake up call. We had no idea we relied on our shaw webmail so much. To have the service fail could be a castrophe for us. All you have sent us names and emails addresses. Totally useless as we need the information in the emails.
We need to look at alternatives and just keep this email address for a social uses.
Shame on you Shaw. For the money you charge your should be able to prevent this type of mistake.
