I have information on how to enable IP Passthrough here. As for bridging the modem, you must contact technical support when you need to bridge or un-bridge the modem.

You have to be 'following' each other in order to start a Direct-Message, private converstation.
The Shaw-Moderators can Direct Message anybody and I believe the Shaw Employees can too still.
That feature/function was taken away from us normal users a long time ago... *grumble grumble*
