Wait times???

I received a strange bill after renewing my contract, and tried to call shaw to discuss and understand what i was looking at.  An hour waiting for someone to answer the phone, and quite a long chat wait.... It feels like shaw is trying to force people to interact online vs actually having a conversation on the phone.  I apologize if i sound frustrated but it wasnt that long ago you could call shaw and talk to someone very quickly over a simple thing.  Suffice to say i got tired of waiting and still havent talked to anyone.  When my contract was up for renewal it was the same thing.  Can we not get more people on the phones?.
