HDPVR DCX3400-M Frozen & Won't Respond

Last night my boyfriend put his dinner plate on top of our remote. The plate managed to press some buttons and before we knew it, there was an error on our TV screen and nothing would work. The HDPVR was still on and we could still watch TV, we were just stuck on the one channel. We couldn't change channels, volume, turn the system off, nothing.

I googled for an answer and was told to:

1. Hold the power button for 30 secs and then remove to reset the box.

2. Unplug the box for 2-3 mins and plug back in to reset the box.

When I tried #1, it did nothing. When we tried #2, the box tried to reboot but only came up with "0000" across the HDPVR screen. Every once in awhile it would get a surge of power the the rest of the LEDs would light up, but it never restored itself.

We unplugged it for the night after that. I plugged it in this morning and it still read "0000". I tried #1 again, and now the box just says "oob" on the LED screen.

Any ideas on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated!
