IM doing everything right to get vod, but when I push ok to start a program, the info window for that program opens and nothing else happens.
it works fine upstairs on our other digital box.
I have the exact same problem. I just got my box (dcx-3510) and I'm ready to take the thing back.
So ianhadden posts this problem 4 days ago and nothing...no moderator support...no suggestions. I have the same problem and have been sitting on hold for 30mins and counting waiting to speak to someone at Shaw.
Finally got through to someone at Shaw...after almost 40 mins on hold. Anyway, the nice girl on the support line said that there is some sort of issue (Nation wide) that is causing this problem....seems odd if it doesn't effect all of us. Anyway, she said she would call me back by tomorrow evening to make sure it works as supposedly they are 'burning the midnight oil' to fix the network problem.
Hi ianhadden and bosshog7, I'm sorry that we didn't see your posts earlier; my apologies.
I can see that this has been fixed for you now bosshog7, but are you still having this problem ianhadden? Please let me know so I can make sure you can play VOD content.
Hi Matt. Yes I had this problem fixed last night...a girl from Shaw reinitiated my box and now SOD seems to work. On a side note, I recorded the Canucks game after the fix and the recording was all corrupted.. jittery and kept freezing, not sure if the problem was related or not.
Thanks for the update. I doubt the issue with the Canucks game would be related. Usually that's going to be caused by a signal issue, or it could have just been a one-time deal. Have you had this problem before though with recordings or with live TV?
Hi Matt...sorry for the late reply. Looks like roughly 75% of the shows I've recorded since the 22nd have the same problem...jittery, pixelation...freezing...basically not watchable. The same thing happens if I pause live TV and watch it a little later on delay.
Hmm, I'd recommend you check the coaxial cable between your box and your TV as a starting point. Take the power out of your PVR and then unscrew the coaxial cable from both the PVR and the wall. If you have a splitter, try bypassing it if possible to see if that fixes the problem.
Let me know though if that doesn't work.
