How can I change the DNS settings on the Cisco DCP3825 to use a 3rd party DNS server (specifically Unblock-us)?
Try resetting your DPC3825 too, push and hold the reset button for 30-45 seconds, it should restart with the default settings, see if you can see it then.
Setup, LAN Setup
And there are 3 different DNS server entries that should work for you
Hi I'm having the same problem. The setting are NOT in the Cisco DCP3825. There must have been a firmware upgrade with out us knowing. I was able to change the DNS sever addresses a few months ago but now the place to put them is not there. I can send a screenshot.
Yay! I got it done.
1) type 192.168.0.1 in to your web address box
2) login to your router (the user name and password on your box)
3) click the "Lan Setup" tab
4) you can enter the desired DNS settings in the LAN1 Static DNS 1, 2 and 3 areas.
5) save it and exit
6 restart your computer.
It worked and I can now access the US Netflix which has way more titles available. The service for this is at www.unblock-us.com .
Great but my Cisco DCP3825 doesn't show that section of any more! There must have been a firmware upgrade. For anyone that doesn't believe me I'll send you a screen shot,. I have tried different browsers but its same on all of them.
Yes, please do post the screenshot, every DPC3825 has the same firmware, to the best of my knowledge
It attached to message above. I reattach it.
HI completely forgot about resetting it. I did and it worked. Now able to modify the DNS severs.
