Virus scan will not complete, get an error message that tells me to close the scan and try again.Only happens when running a full scan
First steps I would recommend is to run a defrag and check disk on the hard drive. The articles linked below apply to Windows Vista & 7... Windows XP is very similar in steps.

If that does not help, I would recommend to uninstall and re-install the McAfee antivirus. We have linked to McAfee's removal tool on the following website. We recommend using that instead of uninstalling from the Control Panel.
