So my Pace DC758D HD receiver is virtually useless unless i keep using it?
What about my 1 gigabyte expander is that also become absolete/useless?
I might as well switch to another provider.
Hi there gogeo2013
I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand your question. Would you be able to clarify a bit so I can help?
Sorry, I am thinking of updating to the Total Home Portal System and was wondering about getting a credit for my existing equipment whitch consists of a Pace PVR DC758D and 1 giga byte harddrive.
Ah okay, thanks.
Unfortunately, we're not accepting trades or offering credits for any Pace PVRs at the moment; the only trades available for the Gateway are to trade across a Motorola DCT3416, a Motorola DCX3400 or a Motorola DCX3510 for a Portal after the initial purchase of a Gateway+Portal system (www.shaw.ca/gateway).
The expander you have though, can certainly be used with the Gateway system, although due to how they work, you wouldn't be able to carry any previously-recorded content over.
As for the Pace, since it's still a working cable box you can sell it to another Shaw subscriber. You would just need to contact us first to release it from your account.
Hope this helps
So I might as well look for another provider and take advantage of their special offers?
You'll of course want to do what makes the most sense to you, but if you'd like, I can look into your options with you through private messaging, so I can get your account information. Let me know.
