I have several TVs and cable boxes.
One DCT2524 and a dct700 no longer work but show message "Not authorized".
What is going on?
Sorry that you're having this trouble with these boxes. If it's just these two, it could be a signal problem. Can you give everything in this document a try?

The error message is different, but the steps still apply. Let me know if this isn't working though.
I tried your suggestions. #1-picture did not return. #2 coax cable is tight #3 No splitters are involved. There are MANY questions out there about this same problem. What are you telling these customers?
I came home Wednesday and phone didn't work. Had to spend an hour learning how to reset the thing. Is it just a coincidence that the phone died at the same time as these cable boxes? Is there a reset button on a dct2524/1631/AL or a dct 700?

There were other customers with this particular problem yesterday and the day before, but usually unless cable boxes weren't communicating properly with our servers in the first place, then the issue would have been resolved (so this might be the case). I'll send you a message though so I can help you get this fixed ASAP.

The problem was at your end. I called support and they reset both units and they now work fine.
