I (used to) play an online game. I say used to because something with Shaw's servers prevents me from ever actually enjoying the game.
Folks in game suggest the problem is Shaw's packet filtering is likely recognizing it as P2P traffic. This is resulting in ridiculously high latency, a high dropped packets rate, and other problems.
The game is Eve Online.
I contacted Shaw with just the server IP addresses and latencies, and nobody ever said a word, even when I followed up with me, but I never mentioned what kind of traffic I was having problems with.
Any help, or am I just not allowed to play?
