E-mail no longer works - since March 2013

Ever since the issue with the web mail server (March 2013) one of my e-mail accounts has been dead.  I have tried sending receiving e-mails, only to be told that the "mail server is not responding", i have not changed the server name: "pop.shaw.ca"/"mail.shaw.ca" nor my password nor my e-mail address, nor my ports.  I cannot log into shaw webmail either.  It's as though my account no longer exists - but is present under the customer service.  I tried multiple things to get it to work - all to no avail.  By the way, needing a valid e-mail address to receive a verification e-mail to ask why the e-mail does not work is a little weird is it not?  I can't get to my account, how can I receive a verification notice????  help...
