I would like to be emailed when I am approaching my data limit with internet use. Is there a way to do that on line here? Thanks!
The bump-up program hasn't been implemented yet. But if you pass your usage cap a few times, a Shaw rep will contact you on which plan would better suit your needs.
Once the bump-up program is in place, having an email generated is a possible option. At the moment, the only way to check usage is to log into your online account and check usage under the internet section. If you haven't created an online account, info can be found at My Account Registration / Forgot Password
No, but you can use Online Customer Care to check your data usage, there is no billing yet for going over so it isn't too big of a deal
Thanks -- what do you mean "there is no billing yet for going over"? If I go over, there is no cost? That doesn't sound realistic ... ?
That is correct, there is a Bump-Up-Program that has been in the works for a few years now, but right now, nothing happens.
Worst case right now, bandwidth team calls you a few times, tells you are going over, or cuts it off if you go way over and not talk to them when they call.
Thank you both. Is there an estimated date the bump-up program will be in place?
I think the stopped giving estimates, because it was supposed to be in 2011...
*shrugs* when its ready we'll be told... lol
