I have been receiving duplicate copies of all of my shaw email messages. I have 4 other email accounts with different email service providers and none duplicate messages. How do I fix this.
Your tests indicate that the duplicate emails don't seem to be generated from within Webmail.
But it's possible that you are forwarding the emails to a different email address and they are somehow looping back and forth. Next, log into your Webmail, go to "preferences", "mail" and then "receive". There will be an option here to forward your email to another email address. Turn it off and click "save". Then wait and see if you are still getting duplicate emails.
I'm sorry to hear about this problem. In some cases this can be caused by an e-mail getting "stuck" on the server. Are you noticing these duplicate messages in an e-mail client, such as Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Mac Mail or within an e-mail app on a mobile device?
I'd recommend logging into Webmail (http://webmail.shaw.ca) with your Shaw account, and checking for any recent messages that might have a large attachment. Please let us know if that fixes the issue.

It is only within Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011. I do not get duplicates on my BB mobile. I did as you suggested and largest files were only 4 MB's, but delted all above 2 MB's to be safe here.
I then sent myself an email and it duplicated it in my Inbox again, so this is not the source of the problem. What else might it be?
I really need to fix this or drop my shaw email account.
I have a request for you to help troubleshoot this:
First, turn off Outlook.
Second, log into your Webmail account and send an email to that @shaw.ca email address from inside it. In the subject, write something like "Email from inside Webmail". After you send it, wait a minute and then click on the inbox to see how many copies of this email arrive. Don't click to read any that do arrive so that they will all stay as unread.
Third, log out of Webmail and then open Outlook. See how many copies of the email arrive.
I have done exactly as you shared and interestingly, I did not receive a copy of the email that I sent from shawmail to my shawmail account in Outlook when I opened it again. It appears once in my shawmail account online though. I did receive a copy on my BB though.
I am still getting duplicate shaw emails when sent from other email addresses outside of Shaw's webmail application.
Lance, in figuring out the source of this duplication, it may be useful to know that I am receiving duplicate emails from my Shaw account on my BB as well.
