We'll be away for six months. Can we suspend our cable service?

Yes we do have an option to suspend service once per year. This can be done for any or all of the services you have with us.

In Regards to Suspension of our cable, I have inquired and the charges were not only to keep the email and voice mail which is not a problem for us . The big surprise to us was the charges for the rental equipment while we were away?
Like the PVR etc? Can this equipment be brought back to stop this charge? I could buy a new PVR for the monthly rental of equipment Shaw would be charging us!

I understand your concern here when it comes to rental equipment. Rental equipment charges do continue when service is temporarily suspended. We clarify this when a request is made to suspend services, our apologies if that clarification was not made at the time.
